The right way
Working in a live environment required careful and meticulous planning to ensure no services were suspended without two weeks notice prior to suspension. Works within areas with high hygienic sensitivity had to be carried out with great precision and care to ensure the cleanliness and sterile environments. Erection of the structural steel for the reception pergola was staged after hours to remove the risk to public and staff.
Significant amounts of structural steel work was undertaken to support newly built meeting rooms, timber pergola, auto sliding door and x-ray machines. The construction was managed in smaller stages to ensure as little disruption as possible to the daily operation of the centre, which sees over 500 staff and visitors go through the reception area each day.
